London’s Chinwe has dropped yet another excellent single, this time in the form of ‘Something Beautiful’. It’s a laid-back track that lets the listener bathe in a sonic palette inspired by the likes of Portishead and Nina Simone, and brought together by a truly visionary songwriter. Chinwe’s hypnotic voice is the perfect match for the smooth, deep textures of her best track yet. She says that it “is about falling in love with someone but knowing that the relationship probably won’t survive past the situation or the circumstances that brought you together. It’s bittersweet because you know you’re ultimately not compatible, but at the same time, you’re going to just enjoy it for what it is and live in the moment."
